For this activity I had translate these 5 basic travel phrases into either Spanish, German, Malaysian, Japanese, Arabic or Afrikaans. I choose Spanish and these are the translations.
Good morning = Buenos días
Good bye = adiós
How much does this cost? = ¿Cuánto cuesta este?
When is the next bus? = ¿Cuándo pasa el próximo autobús?
Where is the nearest hospital? = ¿Dónde está el hospital más cercano?

Hola Harry!
Great work on translating all of these phrases. Travelling to a new country where they speak a different language can be scary sometimes. But I find that if you know a few basic words or phrases (like these ones), and are willing to make an effort with the locals then people are usually pretty friendly and willing to help you out if they can.
Have you ever travelled to a place where you didn't know the language? If you have, what was it like for you? I haven't travelled to too many places where people didn't speak English, but I can imagine it would be pretty tricky to navigate your way around!
Keep up the great effort Harry :-)
Dan.
