Summer learning journey week 1 day 3 activity 1

For this activity I needed to watch Air New Zealand Men In Black’ video and Air New ZealandSafety in Hollywood’ video. Once I finished watching them. I had to list 3 things that you need to do to stay safe on an airplane.

1. Whenever there is an emergency put your hands on your head, make sure your feet are firm and brace against the seat in front of you.

2. If there is an emergency where you might crash into the water. Take the life jacket that is beneath your seat. Then rip the tag out so you can take the jacket, once you have done that put it over your head and clip the wastebands. There is a red tab that inflates your life jacket but pull it as you go out. Just in case you need more inflation blow on the red mouthpiece. There are also infant life jackets.

3. Count the rows of seats between your exits, front and back and take whichever one is faster. In darkness there will be lights to guide you to the exits.

These are the 3 things I choose for being safe on an airplane.

Hi Harry and AJ,

I completely agree! Harry, you have noted some very important things and presented your information in a really nice format. I like the way that you wrote each set of instructions as their own line and that you used full sentences. Your writing is very clear and easy to follow.

Nicely done, Harry!!

I hope that you enjoyed watching the two Air New Zealand safety videos. Of the two, which one did you prefer?

Keep up the great work, Harry!!

Cheers, Rachel :)

Kia ora team,

Great blogging and commenting everyone! It's awesome to read all of your comments and the positive encouragement you're all offering one another. Two thumbs up!

Whenever we go flying, it is veeeery important that we listen to all of the flight crew instructions, and it's easy to see that you have paid close attention to what they were saying in their videos Harry, well done. Can you remember any of the other rules they said in the videos?

Speaking of the videos, which one did you prefer? I like the Men in Black safety video, although Air New Zealand have recently changed their safety video again and I like that one even better!

Nāku noa,
Dan.
