Olympic Comparison

We did a google drawing about where we compared what we knew, to the athletes that are in the Olympics. In Run, Jump, Throw Andy teaches us about what Olympic Athletes do in certain events, I put two examples: Long Jump and Sprinting. We also did this DLO, (digital learning object) to show what we needed to work on for our Run, Jump, Throw activities.

DTR and the Warriors

DTR and the Warriors (not all just Ryan Hoffman and John Palavi came to our school and they talked about our Health and Well being, Hauora (the four walls). We also talked about hydration, sleep and our belonging. We played some games such as: Team Trivia (trivia is basically knowledge) the assembly is split into two teams, since we already made a line between us choosing the teams were easy. Then we were asked to come up and read sentences and we were questions, if we got them right we get a reward such as a warriors drink bottle or a warriors shirt (or bag? I'm not sure). After that we played Heads (true) or Tails (false) to pick we would put our hands on our heads and hands on our caboose (butt) if we got it wrong we sit down, if we got it right we stay standing.

Olympic spirit - Current events

This is a DLO we did of a current event. For this one it was about the Olympic race. Nikki Hamblin and Abbey D'Agostino showed good sportsmanship in the race because they helped each other when one of them fell, instead of just continuing the race to win a medal. Even though they came last, both of them got put into the finals, sadly Abbey can't race in the finals because she had a torn ACL and strained MCL. They showed to be good role models and good sports from what they did in the 5000 M(meter or 5 kilometer) race.

Should host countries have to spend so much money

We have been learning to consider both sides of an argument so that we can make an informed opinion. Mrs Anderson asked us to think about each sides view. To make our informed opinion, we had to look at both sides and then form our opinion about the subject. My DLO shows the possible reasons on why people chose whatever opinion they chose. My DLO also shows the opinion I made on, should host countries have to spend so much.

Quizziz

These are images of my result on quizziz. Quizziz is a multiplayer math game so all of LS2 played it together I came second out of LS2 on the maths problems on the second round I came third. For quizziz you have to know the answers and be the fastest person to click the text-box right answer. The first quiz was harder than the second quiz.

Math games

These are images of my maths on TopMarks. I was Learning Finding prime factors and Sequences and Patterns it helped me more since I don't really get prime questions so I don't work on them much, but now I know more thanks to these math games I played on.

Run Jump Throw

These are images of LS2 doing run jump throw, we reviewed what we did last week, eyes ahead, light feet, running in a straight line, straight and tall, bent elbows and cheek to cheek. We first played a round of octopus, then we did some sprinting where we stood a meter back from the line. Once Andy said: get set. We put a foot just behind the line and put our opposite hand in-front and used what we were taught and propelled ourselves. After that we did some activities where we had to buddy up with someone, get given a cone each and put it on the yellow lines. My partner was Sylis. We then had to sit with our feet touching each other and wait till Andy said go. Once she said go we took the cone we had and tried to beat our partner back to the middle. (We were working on reaction time). Then we did the same thing, but we had to lie on our stomachs for that round.
