How my team worked this question out

Question: There are 4 people in Sams family the sum of their ages is 73. Sams father is 3 years older than his mother Sams sister is 2 years younger than him. But four years ago the sum of the ages of everyone in Sams family was 58.

Working out: The sum of their age is 58 which was four years ago 4 years ago you take off 16 but 58 is 15 less than 73 not 16 so that means that the youngest child is 3 and since sam is 2 years older he is 5, 5 and 3 make 8 so 73 - 8 = 65. 65 - 3 = 62 62 divided in half is 31 so sams mum is 31 and 31 + 3 = 34 so sams dad is 34

Answer: Sam:5 Sams sister: 3 Sams mom: 31 Sams dad: 34

My recount with a twist

One day on Roblox, I was playing Build to Survive the Zombies. There was a minecraft set which was my favourite. I built my house out of diamond ore then I placed glowstone in certain places that would light up the area.  Each time I won a wave I got some points. That way I could buy items that would help me a lot. I usually survive most of the disasters.  But one time a disaster was a nyan zombie, they have the least health. When I turned around in first-person-mode, I saw it in front of me and it killed me. What a fright!

All of a sudden a black hole appeared where I spawned and it sucked me into my game. I could control everything! But I needed to get out before I became zombie food. A bright idea came into my head. I found out since I was in Roblox I could sprint as fast as I wanted without running out of breath like Usain Bolt and use my items infinite times. I went to the options menu and changed the current game that I was in to my favourite game which is Survive the 97 disasters. I was a bit lucky since I bought a fusion coil for 350 roblox tickets. A fusion coil is awesome since it combines the power of speed and non-gravity.  I was having a bit too much fun and when the disaster black hole came I got sucked into it and died. Weirdly I didn’t feel a thing. I then returned back to my normal world. I was disappointed that I could not do things I had done as a Robloxian now but I was happy to be back. I looked into the mirror to see if I was still a robloxian but luckily enough I looked normal. Then my face glitched…..

Fotor Botanical Gardens Trip

This is my fotor Botanical gardens trip we went to a classroom were we learned things about the forest there is a board that says forests each letter has it's own meaning, such as: Food, Oxygen, Recycle, Enjoyment, Shady habitat, Things to use and Soil erosion. Then we went in a bush walk we saw a tree in the middle of the path it looked like as if it was a totem we put  leaves around it the normal ones the yellow leaves, ones that were orange and ones that were dead. We learned that the leaves were telling us a story. Basic Facts Progess

My score in term 1 was 58/60 that wasn't to bad in term 2 my score was 99/100 I need to practice to improve my progress I did better than last term but I still need to practice so I can get better and better at my maths. I have improved in division I did this task which is called IXL I am doing a year 8 task some problems can help me improve my skills this will take me a while to master dividing fractions.  My strengths are addition, subtraction, multiplication and division so I am good at them however I still need to practice some of them because if I don't practice them I will fall behind in them.  I need to work on dividing 3 digit numbers in my head so I must practice till I master it then I will work on dividing 4 digit numbers in my head after that I will do 5 digit numbers and I will keep doing them on and on.
