This is a super challenge on Mean, Median, Mode & range. We used the PBS flag data to find out the mean, median, etc on our flag data. (Keep in mind there was only one mode).
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in LS2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

LI: To make an informed choice
In class Mrs Anderson told us to get into our thinking groups(My thinking group was: Latham, Mia, Daniel, Ana and me). We had to explain why we want to change the flag, or have it the same.

Using powerful words in a orientation
Fear:
Bang! The sound of the door slamming was loud enough to shatter your eardrums. Caroline's hair stood straight, as if she had been struck by lightning. She runs into a room and slams the door behind her. A dark shadow looms behind her, and Caroline's piercing scream cuts through the air.
Disgust:
"Everybody run!"
"Save yourself!"
The desperate screams of the students were audible as the repugnant smell wafted through the class and even the teacher was running. Johnny looked down at the bottom of his shoe and saw it. His day was about to become much worse...
These are the two orientations Thomas and I wrote for the two emotions of disgust and fear. We tried to use show not tell and simple sentences and even included some dialogue. We used the sense of hearing in the fear orientation and the sense of smell in the disgust orientation. There were different emotions and in the picture it shows them and some adjectives and said words for them.

Decimal maths game
In Maths we are practicing rounding decimals. Here are three screen shots of me playing the game, I got twenty right and two wrong. If you want to play this game here is the link. Be careful of the where the mouse is, it's like shooting a real life gun so pretend you are doing that. That's how I got two wrong.

Prototec maths
This is my second prototec maths I did slightly better by 5 seconds than last time. Though it wasn't much of an improvement, I will try to decrease the amount of time I used solving problems.
Homework Prezi
For Homework my partner was Zahra. We did our homework on google slides then put the info onto prezi. Here is the link to Prezi.
How to be a scientist Group one
How to be a scientist is by group one(my group). This Google slides shows how you can be a scientist, this can also help if you want to be a scientist when you grow up.
Science 2
We did science again on Thursday. But this time we did Baking soda and Vinegar, after the first vinegar and baking soda experiment. My group had to do a different type of vinegar, we did white vinegar. There was a difference with the white vinegar, the white vinegar dissolved faster than the original vinegar we used.

Group 1 photos science
Here is a photo of the science we did. We were split into three groups, my group is group one. My group did oobleck(I did it last year in the science elective so I already know about it) oobleck is a Non-Newtonian liquid, that reacts to force E.g: if you use force it will turn solid, if you don't use force it will be a liquid. If you are confused on whether or not it's solid or liquid, it is a liquid because they call it Non-Newtonian liquid so technically it is a liquid.
Solving word decimal problems 2
Here is a second decimal word problem Daniel, Aj and I had. It is different from this question was a bit harder than the first one, but it was still quite easy. You just have to look in the whole numbers and if it's the same, look at the tenths and if that's also the same look at hundredths, etc.
Solving Decimal word problems
Here is a Decimal word problem that Aj, Daniel and I did. We put up the question so you would understand what we were solving. Hopefully you will have learnt something new from this.
